Watcher Upon A Time
The Flood ended a world. Something beneath it kept counting.
An archaeological thriller about ancient testimony, forbidden knowledge, and the one answer no machine can own.

The Story
When the Past Refuses to Stay Buried
A parcel from France brings retired systems engineer Arthur Poldi an undated leather fragment once kept by his father. Three lines, a wider interval and a hooked return become the beginning of a global investigation. In Budapest, archaeologist Sofia Juhász agrees to test it. Together they follow the pattern through ancient sites, surviving testimony and a modern biomedical programme. Every attractive answer must survive the evidence. What remains leads to a harder question: what was the hidden system built to count?
The Author
Elias Duvain
Elias Duvain is the pen name of a French writer based in the Philippines. He began Watcher Upon A Time with a persistent question: what if stories dismissed as myth are damaged memories of real events? His fiction brings archaeology, ancient testimony, faith and modern systems into conflict—then leaves the reader to decide where evidence ends and interpretation begins.

Inside the Mystery
Four Evidence Trails. One Unanswered Question.
Ancient sites. Surviving texts. The memory of a world-changing Flood. The Watchers. Each preserves part of a possibility modern history has not closed: what happened before the world began again?
